Self Love - The Love for the Self

Welcome! I’m Samantha Becket, a writer, thinker, and seeker of truth, dedicated to exploring the interconnectedness of life and the profound wisdom that resides within us all. My work centers on themes of self-discovery, unity consciousness, and the transformative power of love and authenticity.

As the author of The Forgotten Wisdom of Children, I delve into the innate truths we often lose touch with as we grow older, inviting readers to reconnect with the purity and wonder of their inner selves. My writing is deeply inspired by my personal journey of mindfulness, contemplation, and a lifelong awareness of the illusionary nature of the world around us.

Through my books, I aim to spark curiosity, awaken the heart, and encourage others to embrace their unique path of growth and self-realization. I believe that life is not about escaping the challenges we face but about navigating them with courage, humility, and love, using them as tools to deepen our understanding of the Self.

When I’m not writing, you’ll often find me immersed in self-reflection, or envisioning a world where unity and love guide every aspect of life. I invite you to join me on this journey as we discover the beauty of being and the limitless potential within us all.

A Journey Home

A Journey Home is a personal account of living with an innate awareness of oneness – a quiet knowing that the separations we see are only illusions. From the moment I was born, this understanding shaped how I experienced life, offering a perspective that often felt different from those around me.

In this book, I share how this awareness influenced my journey, through challenges, reflections, and the simplicity of everyday life. It’s an invitation to explore the nature of existence, to see beyond duality, and to reconnect with the truth that we don’t just belong to the whole – we are the whole, inherently and completely.

My hope is that these reflections bring a sense of clarity, peace, and connection to anyone seeking to remember the essence of who they are.

The Forgotten Wisdom of Children: Rediscovering the Infinite Self Within

In The Forgotten Wisdom of Children, I invite you on a heartfelt journey back to the essence of who you truly are – the infinite, boundless self that you have always been. Do you remember what it felt like to simply be? As small children, untouched by the world’s influences, we were still completely ourselves: vibrant, curious, and alive, effortlessly observing life with wonder and ease. Back then, everything was simple. We felt indestructible, infinite, and whole. But as we grew older, life became more complicated, and we began to lose sight of that effortless simplicity – the obvious truth of who we are.

Yet, there is beauty in this forgetting. At some point, we chose to experience life as human beings so that we could rediscover ourselves from a fresh, unique perspective. Your life, with all its joys and challenges, is an essential thread in the grand tapestry of existence. Every experience you’ve had, no matter how small or profound, adds to the perfection of the whole.

Through this book, I remind you of the infinite value of your journey. You are here for a reason. The path you walk is yours alone, and it is sacred. Thank you for choosing to be here, for living your unique story, and for contributing to the unfolding of the whole. You are infinitely loved. Let this book be a gentle guide to reconnecting with the forgotten wisdom that has always lived within you.

Heart Break

Heartbreak: How I Learned to Love Myself is my deeply personal journey of transformation – a story that begins with loss and leads to profound self-discovery. This book focuses almost entirely on my part of the story, not on “Prince Charming,” who served as a mirror to help me face my deepest, subconscious fears. It’s not about blame or fault – rather, it’s about understanding how challenges serve a deeper purpose and can be utilized for our growth.

Through the pain of heartbreak, I came to realize that what I was searching for in someone else had always existed within me. It was never about fixing or filling a void but about uncovering the unconditional love that resides within each of us. This realization became a guiding light as I learned to navigate loss and loneliness, not by escaping them, but by fully facing them head-on.

I wrote this book purposefully from a human perspective, without focusing on my awareness of being the observer – the consciousness. I did this because I know that when someone is experiencing heartbreak and devastating loss, they may not feel ready to dive deeply into spirituality. Often, all they can think about is wishing their loved one back. Yet, in order to move forward free from pain, they must remember who they truly are. And in doing so, they can realize that their loved one was never truly gone. They are just temporarily out of our field of vision. At the deepest level, we are always one in essence and never truly separated.

I can imagine that people may wonder why I experienced such a very human experience when I was already in such a high state of awareness. This book is written from my human outlook into the world, which coexists with my awareness of being the observer. I simply watched this experience unfold – it felt like watching a movie. And while all my life has felt like watching a movie, this “Heartbreak” story is one I want to share with people in similar situations. It’s for those who long to love and be loved in return.

Heartbreak, I believe, is an invitation for self-exploration. When the pain is so deep and one feels cut off from love and life itself, we need to listen to the silent call of our soul – the call to reconnect with our true being. Neither in this story of heartbreak, nor in all the other stories of life, did I feel that I could change the course of things or manifest a desired outcome. This experience made it especially vivid how I even acted against my feelings. I saw myself speaking and acting but felt like I actually wanted to change the plot. Yet deep within, I knew that everything happens according to the perfect plan of creation itself – a template reality following the plot we set for ourselves.

The key lies in recognizing the hidden blessings in every single situation. At some point, one can become incredibly aware of all the aspects each experience offers. We not only see the pain, but also how it opens us up, makes us question things, and expands our horizons. It leads us to new areas and solutions to explore, helping us value each moment. I didn’t write in detail about or analyze Prince Charming because this story is not about finding faults. Prince Charming unconsciously offered me a deeper perspective. He became a catalyst for me to finally speak about my experiences and share them with others. He helped me to share my truth.

This book invites readers to explore their own depths, to meet the fears and doubts that lie hidden, and to find the limitless well of love within themselves. It offers guidance for navigating heartbreak and loss – not by seeking validation or love from another person, but by rediscovering the truth of who we are.

If you’ve ever felt lost, broken, or disconnected, this book offers a path toward healing and wholeness – not through another person, but through the power of loving yourself.

About the author

Samantha Becket
Growing up, I was captivated by a question that has echoed through the ages: “Who am I?” On the surface, the answers seem simple – our names, hobbies, interests, education, and preferences. But even as a young child, I felt that these labels could never define the truth of who we are. Deep down, I never truly felt like I was just a human being. Instead, I always knew I was the consciousness behind all things, the silent observer of life itself. This awareness, as natural to me as breathing, shaped everything about how I saw the world.

Even in kindergarten, I sensed the infinite truth beneath the roles and identities we adopt. That awareness set me on a lifelong journey to find the words to describe the essence of what connects us all at our core. As a child, I found joy in reading and speaking with others, and through these connections, I discovered language to express the unifying consciousness that I had always known.

Unlike most, I could recall my existence before I was born – a profound awareness that inspired me to share this truth with those around me. This understanding became my guiding light, a calling to inspire others to remember the infinite, timeless self within. It is this quest that led me to write The Forgotten Wisdom of Children – a gentle invitation to rediscover the boundless “I” that unites us all.
